Our Story

In the heart of Charles County, Southern Maryland GEMZ Majorette Team was created from a vision inspired by the love and energy of majorette dance. Although the founder was not a dancer, she always admired the passion, confidence, creativity, and powerful style that majorette dancing brings to the floor. With a dream to create opportunities for youth in the community, Southern Maryland GEMZ was born.

Built on passion, dedication, and sisterhood, the organization welcomes both girls and boys who share a love for dance, performance, and teamwork. The organization is led by coaches who are experienced and passionate dancers committed to helping every dancer grow both on and off the dance floor. Their love for dance, mentorship, and leadership creates an environment where dancers feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Southern Maryland GEMZ is more than just a dance team — it is a family. The team focuses on building confidence, discipline, leadership, and lasting friendships while celebrating the exciting culture and performance style of majorette dance.
